What makes us unique

One roof. One culture. One brief.

Most studios specialize in one discipline. To get a product into the market, you brief one studio, then another, and something always gets lost in the transition.

Studio Carbon is an integrated design studio. We bring industrial design, brand design, and UI/UX under one roof, one culture, and one brief. Nothing is lost in translation. You work alongside people who think differently from you, solving complex problems that require more than one perspective to crack.

More importantly, we are a design-led organization. Every decision is the outcome of curious deliberation, systemic thinking, and a deep desire to innovate.

Our journey

Nine designers, one wish.

Studio Carbon started in 2018, when nine designers who met at the National Institute of Design decided to build the kind of studio they wished already existed. One where design was treated as a fundamental discipline rather than a finishing touch, and where the people doing the work were trusted with real ownership from day one.

That’s still the deal. From our founding team of nine, we have grown into a group of 40+ Carbons, designers, engineers, developers, and strategists. Much of that growth has come from the inside: people who joined as interns, and grew into the people now leading multiple projects.

We believe design is as fundamental as carbon itself; it guides how every product, service, and decision feels, regardless of whether it is consciously noticed. Our job, and the job of everyone who joins us, is to make that influence intentional.

Our brand tagline, “Feel the Future,” is the standard we hold our work to, and it is only possible because of the people in the room.

If that sounds like the kind of place where you want to grow, you’re exactly who we’re looking for.

What we are looking for

Introduction

Great websites are not built. They are designed by people who care, about hierarchy, spacing, typography, and every interaction that determines how someone feels while they browse.

Do you already redesign websites in your head when something feels off? Do you notice the details most people scroll past?

Then this role might be exactly what you are looking for.

We are looking for someone at the beginning of their design journey who wants to learn the craft properly, not just the shortcuts. Someone who wants to become a Web Artisan, not a page builder.

You will work closely with senior designers, brand designers, UX designers, and Webflow developers, turning ideas into digital experiences people actually notice. You do not need to know everything. You need curiosity, discipline, and a willingness to learn something new every day.

Requirements

  • Basic understanding of website design principles and visual hierarchy.
  • Familiarity with Figma and modern design workflows.
  • Working knowledge of typography, layout, color, and composition.
  • Awareness of responsive design principles.
  • Basic understanding of UI/UX fundamentals.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Willingness to learn Webflow, HTML, CSS, and modern web technologies.
  • A portfolio showing personal, academic, freelance, or internship work.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

You’ll fit perfectly if you

  • Constantly notice good and bad design in the world around you.
  • Enjoy refining a layout until it finally feels right.
  • Are curious about how brands translate into digital experience.
  • Ask questions instead of making assumptions.
  • Learn through feedback and iteration, not just instruction.
  • Care about details most people overlook.
  • Take ownership of your work, no matter how small the task.
  • Balance creativity with structure.
  • Stay curious about design trends without following them blindly.
  • Enjoy working with people who challenge your thinking.
What we can do for you

Benefits

Weekends off
A studio that treats you like an adult

Culture

At Studio Carbon, freedom is not a perk. It is how we work. We do not micromanage, and we do not tolerate a culture of fear. What we do take seriously is ownership, honesty, and getting things done well.

You will be surrounded by designers, strategists, and thinkers who care deeply about their work. It is the kind of environment that makes you raise your own bar without anyone asking you to.

We invest in our people. Growth Saturdays, workshops, design talks, and in-house challenges are a regular part of life here. Your growth is part of ours.

Opportunities

  • Work on real websites for clients across industries.
  • Learn directly from experienced designers and developers.
  • Build real expertise in visual design, UI, and digital branding.
  • Gain exposure to multidisciplinary projects across sectors.
  • Build a portfolio of meaningful, shipped work.
  • Opportunity to explore and eventually build your own venture through Carbon Labs.
What you can do for us

Becoming a Carbon

As Studio Carbon grows, every digital experience we design becomes part of how the world sees us and our clients. We want someone who is a web connoisseur, not a page builder. Anyone can drag and drop components into a page. What matters is building something intuitive, considered, and built to be remembered.

We will teach you the tools. What we need from you is curiosity, craft, and the willingness to get better every single day.

Responsibilities

As a Junior Website Designer, you will work alongside experienced designers to create thoughtful digital experiences. Some of the work you can expect:

  1. Support the design of responsive websites in Figma
  2. Translate brand identities into considered website layouts
  3. Create wireframes, UI screens, and supporting visual assets
  4. Refine layouts based on feedback and usability considerations
  5. Learn and apply UI and UX best practices on live projects
  6. Collaborate closely with Brand Designers, UX Designers, and Webflow Developers
  7. Assist in building design systems and reusable components
  8. Maintain organized, well-documented design files
  9. Participate in design critiques, brainstorms, and internal reviews
  10. Continuously sharpen your craft through research and experimentation
How will your career progress

Initial months

Your first few months will be about learning how Studio Carbon approaches digital design, working closely with mentors, and contributing to live projects while you build confidence. It is normal to feel out of your depth at first. Every carbon goes through it.

You will move from supporting projects to owning parts of them, at a pace set by how quickly you learn, not by how long you have been with us.

Join the
Carbons.

We hope this gave you a real sense of what this role is and who we are.
